China Extends Visa-Free Entry for 50 Nations Until End of 2026

China has extended its unilateral visa-free entry policy for 50 countries until December 31, 2026, easing travel for tourism and business.

The unilateral policy lets ordinary passport holders from the listed countries enter mainland China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days, for tourism, business, family visits or exchanges. It has been extended through 31 December 2026, having first been introduced as a trial and expanded in stages. Travellers still need a passport valid for the duration of their stay and may be asked for onward travel and accommodation details on arrival. The scheme does not cover work, study or journalism, which continue to require the appropriate visa.
