Sri Lanka Expands 30-Day Visa-Free Entry to 40 Nations
Sri Lanka offers 30-day visa-free entry to 40 countries from May 25, boosting tourism amidst regional challenges.
Eligible travellers from the listed countries can enter Sri Lanka for tourism for up to 30 days without paying a visa fee, under a scheme that took effect on 25 May. Visitors still complete the online Electronic Travel Authorisation before arrival, but the charge is waived for these nationalities. The measure is aimed at rebuilding tourist arrivals. It applies to short tourist visits only and does not grant the right to work or an extended stay.
