UAE Expands Visa-on-Arrival to Six Nationalities with Valid Residence Permits

The United Arab Emirates expanded its visa-on-arrival program to include nationals of six countries and their accompanying family members.

From 25 June 2026, nationals of Indonesia, Viet Nam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa, holding ordinary passports, may now obtain a visa on arrival. This applies if they also possess a valid residence permit from the United States, a European Union member state, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada. The new facility offers either a 14-day visa, extendable once, for an issuance fee of AED 100, or a 60-day visa for a single stay, priced at AED 250. Accompanying family members are also eligible under these conditions, and an overstay fine of AED 50 per day will be imposed.
